French Tennis Academy
The French Tennis Academy's mission is to host young tennis players to enable them to meet an ambitious challenge: juggle their studies and high-level training. The objective is to increase the level of play of young people by improving their individual qualities, in a family atmosphere.
The two main values of the French Tennis Academy are the AMBITION and EXCELLENCE. This daily mindset is guided by the "no-limit" and a strong investment of coaches and athletes in their training.
All ambitious and coherent projects are worth be accompanied. The Academy supports every year a group of up to 8-10 young, and no one is left behind. In respect of the athlete, we customize the training of male and female players so that everyone can fully exploit its potential.
The French Tennis Academy is the new name of the Tennis Academy 53 since 2014.
Accommodation facilities and training
Located on the Pays de la Loire League, north of Mayenne, the French Tennis Academy is the gateway to Normandy and Bretagne. Its access is by SNCF train stations in Laval or Rennes.
Life at the Academy is organized in a private property of 5000 m2, located in the heart of the village of Colombiers-du-Plessis. Accommodation (single or double), catering (meals groups in a common room), study courses by CNED, fitness room, pool and football field are all on this site.
The tennis courts are located in the town of Gorron, 5 minutes from our property. The specific physical and tennis sessions are held at TC Gorron (2 indoor and 2 outdoor courts, all in green set). Municipal structures are also available for physical sessions: athletic fields, football field stabilized…
